We would like to welcome your son or daughter to the DTN family! At DTN, the needs of your child are our top priority. Our teams do all we can to ensure he/she has the best/most memorable college experience.

A. Many of our locations are very close to campus, which provides your son/daughter with the unique benefit of having an apartment located close to Michigan State and downtown East Lansing while still having access to classes and campus activities. All kitchens are equipped with most major appliances, and this gives your student the opportunity to cook healthy meals along with savings stocking groceries. All of our communities host resident events and activities, sometimes with free food, giving your son/daughter a vibrant social environment. Bus routes are located close to our communities which can provide your son/daughter transportation to local grocery stores and shopping centers if they do not have a vehicle parked at the community.

A. We welcome parents to visit our apartment communities. To schedule a tour, please call the phone number on the web page of the apartment community of your choice. Walk-ins are always welcome, but to ensure a timely tour, please call us to set an appointment.

A. Our leasing season begins mid-October. Your son/daughter may secure an apartment by visiting the apartment community of their choice. The best apartments with the best locations lease fast, so we encourage leasing early. To shop for apartments, go to the Apartment Search tab. In order to reserve an apartment, your son/daughter must fill out an application and provide requested documents. For more information, call the leasing office of the community of your choice.

A. We do require a security deposit when leasing an apartment. The security deposit is refunded within 30 days of vacating the residence provided no money is owed and there are no damages beyond ordinary wear and tear. When your son/daughter moves in, an inventory checklist is provided that must be completed and returned to us. This form is for the purpose of stating the condition of the premises at move-in, and is used as a guideline to assess the condition at move-out. We encourage your son/daughter to be detailed on this form.

A. The move-in dates are determined by the lease start date. We provide 2 lease start dates in August. One date is at the beginning of the month and the second towards the end of August.

A. For your convenience we offer online payments through our website through our Resident Portal on the section For Residents CLICK HERE. Payments in the form of personal check, money order, or certified bank funds, can be mailed directly to your son/daughters leasing office.
